Vacancy: DAiSY-Chain Artist Network Social Coordinator
We’re looking for a Social Co-ordinator to join the team on a part-time, freelance basis.
The DAiSY-Chain Artist Network is for artists across the South East who identify as d/Deaf, disabled or neurodivergent, and provides a supportive network to link artists from across the county together. Throughout the year, we host a mix of in-person and online meet ups. These gatherings are a space to meet like-minded artists across the region. This is a fun, flexible role best suited for someone who lives in Surrey or the surrounding areas.
Key Information
Hours: We are looking for someone to work up to 4 hrs a week / 16 hrs a month. We operate flexible working and are happy to accommodate different schedules.
Pay: £16 p/h, on a freelance basis.
Where: Our small team works from home and regularly visits different locations in the county of Surrey.

About the role
Key responsibilities
- Work closely with the DAISY team to plan and facilitate monthly social meet ups for DAISY-Chain artists.
- Find opportunities to engage with art of all kinds across the region
- Communicate event information to Comms Manager
- Communicate with venues to understand any potential barriers to access
- Support DAiSY team with events across the year, by collecting artwork, stewarding, installing/de-installing exhibitions
Requirements for the role
- Lives in or close-to the county of Surrey
- Enthusiastic and confident, with a passion for the Arts and Social Justice
- An understanding of the barriers that d/Deaf, disabled and neurodiverse artists face when accessing cultural spaces, and a commitment to making the arts more inclusive.
- Motivated, creative and comfortable developing ideas independently
- Confident in talking to new people and hosting events
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- An awareness of safeguarding principles
- Inclusive, collaborative, and comfortable working both independently and within a team
- Access to the internet and a laptop/computer/tablet that you can work from
- A Full UK Driving License and access to a car
Further Information
DAISY works across Surrey but operates flexible working from home. The applicant would need to be comfortable working remotely with regular online meetings.
This is a part time, freelance role, and we are looking for someone to work up to 4 hrs a week / 16 hrs a month with an hourly rate of £16 p/h. We are flexible on which day of the week this would be and/or if the hours are split across a number of days or condensed. From time to time, there may be opportunities to take on additional hours depending on DAiSY’s activities. This is always optional and based on your availability.
