Thank you to everyone who made DAiSY FEST 2025 such a powerful celebration of creativity and community.
Over 600 people came through the doors across the weekend, and we are deeply grateful to the artists, organisations, speakers, performers, volunteers and partners who brought the festival to life. Your energy, generosity and talent transformed G Live into a vibrant space of connection.
To our audiences, thank you for showing up, participating and supporting Disability arts in Surrey. Together, you helped create a joyful, inspiring festival that strengthens our community and its creative future.
Friday Forum
This day marked our first Friday Forum symposium.
The theme of Connections wasn’t just something we explored in theory, it became real in the way people leaned in and contributed their voices to the discussion. We were so happy to hear that so many of you had made new connections or met in person for the first time.
Events like this only work because of the people in the room. Thank you to everyone who contributed, performed, asked questions, or simply showed up. If you attended the event and would like access to the presentations from the day, please do get in touch.
Saturday Celebration
Our Saturday Celebration wouldn’t have been possible without the contributions of our wonderful member organisations.
Across the day over 30 encounters featuring drama performances, dance shows, creative workshops, and choirs graced the halls of G Live. The venue was a buzz of joy, connection and pride.
The event was a wonderful opportunity to shine a light of the fantastic work and community spirit of disability organisations in Surrey. Congratulations to all of our members, and DAiSY-Chain artists on their colourful contributions to the festival.
Our Theme – Connections
We chose Connections as this year’s theme to celebrate the collaborative spirit at the heart of our network model. By bringing together artists, disability organisations and cultural partners, we saw how shared ideas and experiences spark more ambitious, inclusive cultural projects. Connections invited us to reflect on the value of working together to build stronger, more creative communities.
What does the theme make you think about?
- How can creative work help us build connections – with each other, with our environment, or even with ourselves?
- How do we build cultural ecosystems that are inclusive, sustainable, and bold?
- How do networks empower us, sustain us, and help us imagine new futures?
